house atm is ok. we have/are spending a relatively big amount doing it up and getting it how we want it

but i would love a little bit more space. a bigger garden and a separate study space for dp

found a couple on rightmove which seem affordable, tho obv that depends on what the mortgage ppl say

i dunno... how do you make the decision??? i keep thinking about moving and then deciding no, let's make the most of what we have
but then i think why throw money at a house that isn't quite right?

but THEN i think, but dp built our drive, and our wall/fence round the garden, and we've just about finished landscaping the front garden and the biggest BUT... 2 of my babies were born here!

am finding it hard to let go, and i am not sure what the right decision is. we are not going to stay here forever, is now the right time to buy??

i had the same feelings about a year ago and after six months of thinking yes.no we put the house on the market. the space in the house is ok, its just we have no space outside apart from a yard. now after looking at lots of houses i know i want to move! just need someone to buy mine now

We've had this conundrum and decided to stay put for now and do our extension. Have looked at other houses with bigger garden/garage/more space but they just didn't feel right.

I figure that if our house is nice for us (as I hope it will be) then it will be easy to sell when something does come up that we love and we can make the move.

If you are doing a reasonable upgrade to your house you will get the money back when you sell don't you think? It's not really wasted, just invested.

well, sadly we can't afford to extend this one at all.
we've done the driveway and front garden, and have replaced bathroom and will do kitchen

we wanted to extend out the back but can't afford to do it. and we can't go into the attic as there isn't enough headroom

i can't decide now whether to just chuck a bog-standard kitchen in and sell up (old one is really, really awful) or to stay put for a while and make the most of it

it does make me sad to think of leaving after we've put so much hard work into it... but then it was never meant to be a forever house! argh
