So how am I meant to manage this move?

We move on Friday, my next few days are more or less fully booked with things like getting the floors sorted to shopping for wall paper, paint, finishing painting and packing, have to buy some boxes first. I have failed again (have moved so many times you'd think I could do it with my eyes closed) to be organised and to stay calm.

It's 38 degrees this weekend where we live and I haven't fed the dc since Friday, they aren't hungry due to the heat thank goodness. Oh they did get some chips at the Greek restaurant round the corner from the new place.

I'm stressed and can't even think about starting to cook or do anything. Tomorrow I have to dash and shop for food for the week. WHat did you all dfeed the family, helpers and dc on when you moved? I think alot of fruit will be good but can't survive on fruit for a week - or could we?!

I always fail at these sorts of tasks, am very fed up. Can any of you give me any survival tips?

We move next Friday, too. I am just carrying on as normal, tbh. Can you just give the dcs salad, baked potatoes, cold meat, that sort of thing? Or buy some ready meals to stick in the microwave if you get desperate?

Wish I could carry on as normal - think it has to do with the fact that we're doing the move with a removal firm but the rest has to be done ourselves to save.

We've got someone coming in to paper and paint ds's room quickly (added, enexpected cost), have done the others myself. Have to finish off the edges on Wednesday or Thursday.

Yes, I must buy lots of salad stuff and fruit to keep us going. Good luck on Friday pcworld, are you getting it all done (like the packing and unpacking too?)

Ah- in that case, I completely understand. I have always packed, myself, too - and I know how much work it is. ~ Yes, make it easy on yourself - ready made meals, salads, nice bread, cheese that sort of thing - all take minutes to get on plates. We are very lucky to be having packers this time round. Good luck with it all, just keep taking deep breaths and counting to ten
