We are looking for good quality wardrobes for our bedroom but do not want to spend a fortune on them as it is money we do not have. Anyone know of any good wardrobes in the sales or can recommend any particular ones? We are open to free-standing & fitted at the moment.
Many thanks

Anyone else? I'm interested too because we have some hideous fitted melamine wardrobes in our bedroom and now I'm ready to decorate and re carpet I can't face the idea of them staying there looking ugly taking up acres of space.

I don't know if they would be too cheap for what you're looking for but I recently bought a wardrobe, drawers and bedside unit from the Ashington range in Additions Direct. I bought them because they come ready assembled and I am fed up of alley keys. Was really impressed with them.

What about Ikea?
We have their Pax/Komplement wardrobes and they are great, you can buy the carcass of the wardrobe and fit out the inside exactly how you want it to be with what hangers/storage works best for your needs.

I think they are really good value and the quality is really good imo, despite them being flat pack

I agree with undertheduvet. We have Pax wardrobes from Ikea in all our bedrooms, some of which we have had for 11 years and we have dismantled them and put them back together for 3 house moves.

You can very cheaply change the interior as your needs change, we have just bought another 50cm wide hanging rail for a few quid as ds2 starts school in September so needs to hang his uniform up.
