NEXT furniture sale

Anyone know when NEXT will br having a funriture sale? We saw a lovely sofa today for the conservatory but it is more than what we would like to spend.

Definitely worth getting a VIP slot so you get first dibs at the Sale stuff. I can order from Thursday pm but the riff-raff won't get their hands on it until Saturday. You just need a Next account, I think.

I spent Christmas Eve 2008 on the Next website ordering a whole set of bedroom furniture for dd1 on Sale at half price, without even putting down my mulled wine and mince pie!

ChasingSquirrels - I tried those numbers in the "quick shop" on the preview isting and none came up so I gues they are either sold out or not in the sale

The VIP slots are allocated at random to directory shoppers - and you don't have to shop a lot, I think I spent £150 in the last year, I have had VIP slots for some sales and not others (I missed out on the last two)

Bargain for me was when DD3 was born - I ordered girl and boy clothes/bedding in the Xmas sale, when she was born on Jan 3rd I sent back the boy stuff! Was v glad she was a girl as they only had a pink Maclaren buggy half price

In the Furniture category, there are a few bits from the Tilson, Ashcroft, Ohio and Pimlico range and other odd bits. Sofas are Torino, Marlow, Metropolis and Wallace ones. (Don't know what sizes they come in haven't looked that far, there was one of each in the sale)

Thanks Housemum, it is the Kingsbury sofa so likely it is not in the sale then.

Just spent our hour loading my virtual shopping trolley with stuff from the Next Sale. Yay! Got a nice set of running gear for half price, and loads of bits and pieces for presents. Not much Homeware, though..... Sorry you couldn't get the sofa, squirrels - they only had two armchairs in the Sale. Sod's law, it's never what you want.

Thanks! I was given a preview from 6pm tonight but it is a pain that you can't add items to your basket & pay tomorrow when the sale starts Did you manage to buy things already then?

I have a VIP Slot (don't ask me why, maybe it's something to do with my out-of-control catalogue shopping habit), so, yes, I was able to buy on Thursday.

Thanks! Probably because I normally pay for my items immediately but with my last order I created an account by mistake & paid my £30 bill as soon as it appeared on the statement! I went online today about 10am & there wasn't anything left that i'd liked. Never mind though, I should have been quicker LOL
