Tried the code, got the free postage but not the discount, no phone call yet.
But they emailed to say that one of the items I'd ordered was out of stock.
This is the third time I've tried to order that exact hard-to-find item (they keep changing their mind about whether they have it) and every time, they've emailed and said 'oh we don't have that but will send the rest of your order'.
Considering that the htf item (now found elsewhere but paid a small fortune for postage as 'elsewhere' is DPAM) is the principal reason for placing the order, and I don't necessarily want to pay p&p for any other items that I wouldn't have ordered if I hadn't been buying the htf item anyway, I'm a bit cheesed off that they keep saying it's in stock when clearly their stock control is poor enough that people can keep ordering it online when they don't have it.
It's almost as though they're trying to lure me into placing an order with them on the strength of the non-existent htf item!
I tried phoning their customer service last time to ask for either a subsitution (same but other gender) or a cancellation of the whole order. They claimed it was impossible to amend or cancel, suggested I place a whole new order in excess of 70 quid (when I just wanted a 10 quid item) in order to benefit from free P&P, and then tried to garner marketing info from me.
I was not best pleased, (unfortunately too gobsmacked to ask to speak to supervisor), and vowed never to buy from them again (unless the item was back in stock and I got free P&P).
So now that they have cancelled hard-to-find item again, if they don't honour the voucher (maybe fair enough) and try to charge me postage for the remainder of the order or threaten to cancel it, the manager of the person on the phone will be spoken to severely about trading standards
