M&S 1p one-day sale
In store

On Fri 13 Nov Marks & Spencer stores will be running a ?Penny Bazaar?, selling 15 different items for 1p each to celebrate its 125th birthday. All money raised will go to local charities.

What?s included? The 1p items are Christmas socks, card games, children?s puzzles, handkerchiefs, money boxes, tea-towels, mugs, notebooks, ties, knickers, key-rings, Christmas chocolates and Yule logs.

Anything to note? You can buy up to five 1p products each. The last time a similar promotion was on it was enormously popular ? so check your store's opening hours and go early, things will sell out fast!

Where is it on? Its in all of M&S? UK main stores, 40 selected Simply Food stores and 8 selected Outlets. Find your nearest M&S. Franchise stores in airports, petrol forecourts, services and railway stations won?t be running it.

The last one was finished by 11am at my local M+S, which is massive, and the stuff they were selling was all a bit poo anyway so I won't be bothering again.

We went today to this as they had a card holders preview type thing. My mum is a cardholder so she joined the queue (I wasn't allowed to wait with her . It was a bit crap really. She got a puzzle for my ds3 and a couple of tiny boxes of chocolates. But she had to queue for ages. Basically, there are 15 items you can get and they gave her a piece of paper with them on it and she had to say what she wanted.

Just thought I'd bump this. Went today. They have boxes of chocolate, tea towels, mugs, a number jigsaw, jule logs, key rings, notebooks, money boxes and socks.

So nothing mega mega exciting, but is always nice to get something for nothing and they are raising money for help for heroes as well.

Ah right that explains why there was a massive queue which blocked one of the entrances to our local shopping centre today. I was going to go in and get DS1 a pair of school torusers, and took one look at the queue and thought no way am I standing in that

Wonderstuff · 13/11/2009 14:04

Queue not too big at ours, they had an area sectioned off and people queing to get to that bit but no que to get into main store iyswim

maxybrown · 13/11/2009 23:10
