I tried to do another order on a work bench thingie for DS and it wouldn't take code. They have probably sussed it

Chloemegjess - my DD is one on 29th Jan and am going to save it for her till she is a bit older. But if you are a mindee for £1.74 it doesn't matter if it gets a bit wrecked

Have told DH I have the bargain of the day!! Am well chuffed.

I have also bought DD a toy kitchen from the Entertainer for £20 reduced from £55!! Glad our loft is big!!

sarahken · 23/12/2008 22:31

Yeah think they may be clued up. Hopefully we will still get our orders Could really do with some bargains at the moment!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 23/12/2008 22:32

I tried Littlewoods too No go....

chloemegjess · 23/12/2008 22:43

simpsons - thats my DDs birthday too! . What are you doing for her birthday? (just out of interest as we keep changing our minds!)

OP posts:
chloemegjess · 23/12/2008 22:45

Really annoyed I didn't know to do littlewoods etc earlier!! There was loads on there I wanted to order!!

As a new childminder this would have really helped me to get some cheap stuff to use!

Chloemegjess - I haven't decided yet. DS (3) says she has to have a birthday party because "that's what you do"

TBH thinking of just having family round for sunday dinner and combining it with party after etc. Nut then I feel bad as I did more for DS when he was one (PFB?)

Let me know if you have any good ideas??

DS had his first big party this year when he was 3 did the whole bouncy castle thing load of kids etc which he loved.

DH due back from work any minute (shift work) can't wait to show him what I got for £1.74!!

chloemegjess · 23/12/2008 23:00

simpsons - are you me? Lol. DH shift work too!

DD is a PFB though. All our family don't get a long so its hard. And can't fit everybody round here either. Think we are going to ask MIL is we can go to her in the morning, and get that side of the family out of the way, then go to my mums for late lunch and same there. Then possibly have a few friends round the next day, people with babies etc, to come for a "play" But to be honest, we are chaging our minds every few hours! Lol

Oh and I am 23 weeks pregnant too so can't be arse with a lot of it. Which is why we are not having the in laws round as we would end up spending days cleaning first!

OP posts:
simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 23/12/2008 23:17

We definately think the same LOL

Am think ATM (although it could change tomorrow) Sunday dinner at my mum's with some rellies there with pressies etc.

Am thinking of a very little get together with RL friends as a few of us have LO's the same age or similar.

TBH if I was PG I wouldn't be doing much (she won't know) Congrats BTW

Tis special when they turn 1 though...got all tearful when DS tuned one

chloemegjess · 23/12/2008 23:54

It is on a monday though isn't it? Their birthday?

laughalot · 24/12/2008 10:31

My pram came at 7:30 . Cant look at it yet as dc are about .

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 24/12/2008 10:41

ooooh laughalot - Tell us what the pram set is like??

Chloemegjess- Will celebrate it the day before then Am so rubbish I hadn't even thought about what day of the week it is.

Have to go and pick up her birthday pressie (baby walker thingie) from argos today that should be fun....not!!

chloemegjess · 24/12/2008 10:48

Lol, simpsons, you just made me panic that I had the wrong day! Can have a roast anyday though if thats what you want to do.

My delivery still hasn't come. Didn't get up till 9am though so worried it came before i got up! . No card through the door though. Annoying as I need to go out. Did say before 12pm though so can't complain.

In fact, at £1.74 I couldn't complain if it didn't turn up till midnight really!

OP posts:
simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 24/12/2008 10:52

You know its going to turn up at 11.59 LOL

Unfortunately mine isn't coming till 5th Jan but not giving it to DD this year anyway so I guess it doesn't matter....

chloemegjess · 24/12/2008 11:15

Those of you who have theirs, did it come in just one box? They just dropped off a box and I was trying to ask the delivery driver if it was just that one but he just walked off! Don't think he spoke english TBH. The box looks tiny for all the stuff you get?

Also, DH ordered something due today (well me in his name) and it didn't come with it?

Pram set and my board games have just arrived Just checked my Natwest and Lloyds bank accounts and they have charged my £11.74 for each order and then refunded £10 back to me on each of the transactions. Just hope all the other stuff I ordered last night comes okay but if it doesn't I still have got some good bargains. Just hoping they don't recall the £10 refund back, as want to open the board games to play tonight. I had a double refund from Argos last month, which they took back without my permission and left me overdrawn so I know it can be done. Think I will put it all in my loft and leave well alone.

sarahken · 24/12/2008 11:24

Yes its come in one box so easier to store in my loft!! Doesn't look like all that stuff could fit in one box, but for the price I'm not opening it to find out. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and if its a girl will probably give it her for xmas 2010, so will be stored away for a long time!!!! If not a girl will give it to niece next xmas or sell on ebay.

sarahken · 24/12/2008 11:28

Just been on empire and they've started a 70% off sale, so maybe thats why the code isn't working anymore.

laughalot · 24/12/2008 11:35

Yep just one box it dosent look like it will all fit in but im certain its all there. Can one of you come and collect my kids then I can have look and tell you .

laughalot · 24/12/2008 11:36

I also had something delivered today that said 5th jan delivery.

qwertyshell · 24/12/2008 11:57

my pram set also came today, it looks fab, im gunna hide it intill dd birthday. fab bargin xx

TimeForMe · 24/12/2008 12:01

I just want to say a big thank you for this. I ordered the pram set too, it's just arrived and it's brilliant. The best bargain I have ever had

BONKERZ · 24/12/2008 12:15

mine arrived today too and DD has it already as she got it from her pocket money! Its brill, proper full size pram, good quality, the walker is very cool and the highchair is lovely, the only thing that abit naff is the travel cot cos i can see it breaking easy and parts being lost but its a bargain for sure!

chloemegjess · 24/12/2008 12:17

My dhs order didn't come! It was meant to be here by 12pm! I think the man had it in his van when he dropped off the pram set, but completely ignored me asking and just drove off! Anybody know who I ring? Or should I wait? I need to go out when DD wakes up!
