Early days for me, but Sprive has been brilliant so far. It really is a painless and very simple way to overpay your mortgage, and because you buy gift cards to use at retailers, you can still click through TopCashback and Quidco and potentially get cash back too.

The gift cards you buy can be for the exact amount you need, so if your shopping is £49.57, you can buy the gift card for £49.57 and no pesky few pence left languishing in a gift card graveyard to be forgotten forever. (You can buy for more too and the gift cards stay in your Sprive app, easy to find when you need them).

Check the gift card you are buying is suitable for your chosen shopping method- most seem to be usable online and in store but Tesco is in-store only. Just something to be aware of.

I am so impressed with how easy it is to link and overpay your mortgage- once linked, it’s literally a single click and the balance is sent directly to your lender. I have been sending as soon as I have over £5 as this is more interest saved on the mortgage. It’s mounted up with just normal shopping for me. I absolutely love it.
