Anyone else got Gousto problems following their 'free box' debacle

I have been charged for mine! £43! And the the veg is on its last legs. In fact a courgette was actually mouldy. I'll inspect the aubergine today as feels soft. Carrots tiny and shrivelled. I definitely feel ripped off! And I cannot afford this!

I have emailed twice and trying to get the money refunded. They absolutely promised me it would be free as I had problems with the code!

Hello! I'm experiencing similar. I used a code from a thread here to claim my free box but I too was charged. I was under the impression that I could simply get the money refunded if I decide not to continue with the subscription, however this doesn't seem to be the case. I spoke to Gousto on their live chat facility and they asked me for the discount code I used in order to investigate. I didn't have it though so I doubt they will give me a refund.

However, I must say I was impressed with the box which I received yesterday. I cooked one of the recipes and it was a hit. I'm quite an experienced cook so was a bit dubious at first but it exceeded my expectations. All the ingredients were in perfect condition.

So unfortunate that you've had such a nightmare. Surely they will refund you if the produce was substandard? Have you sent them photos? Hope you get it resolved!

I haven't yet but I have photos. I'm veggie and cook a lot. I only did it because I'm on a budget! They emailed me to say it was free. My subscription is showing as inactive though so hopefully I've limited the damage. I'm a new customer tho and those usually get 65% off anyway. Grrr

Yep. Here too.
Second week in a row where they failed to deliver due to "demand" and only emailed this afternoon to tell me so, the very day we were due to receive it.
Absolutely ridiculous. Why promote an offer you can't deliver on?
Not even started but I'm now done.
