promoted items in the supermarket

Hi - I'm new to this but I wondered if other people had noticed that the same items are promoted in different supermarkets at the same time. Like this week GU are reduced in Tesco and Waitrose - it makes it hard for me to decide where best to shop.

Is this just me?

No you're perfectly right, brands will often be promoted simultaneously in different shops. I remember Muller yoghurts being on promotion when we only had a Waitrose and a Co-op. But in Waitrose it was six for £2, while Co-op had the same things at 5 for £1. So that was a nice easy one to work out!

I've always thought this topic area was so that people could share vouchers and codes btw.
