Sun holidays request for priority booking numbers

Hi as the Sun holidays are due back in early January I thought I would start a priority code request thread as in previous years these threads have proved popular.

Generally the person offering the code contacts the poster at the top of the list and offers the code via PM. Once accepted the person receiving the code takes themself off the list and copies and pasts the remaining names onto a new post

I dont receive codes - they are issued at random - but I am eternally grateful to Eddas who kindly gave me one so we could go on holiday one year.

Hopefully this thread will enable other mumsnetters to go on holiday this year.

Yes please as I have missed the holiday I would have liked thru the Daily Mail offer.

Have added myself to the list and keeping my fingers my fingers crossed! But, if I don't get a code, I was going to use the tokens from the paper. Unfortunately I have managed to forget to buy today's paper! Is there a way of getting tokens online? Or should I be calling 24hr Tesco and getting them to reserve me a Sun?

jezabelle, they print more tokens than you need so don't worry you should be ok if you've only missed today's

Is the Sun newspaper offer all paper based unlike the DM where it can be done online?

No, it's almost the same one. You can book the sun one online, hence people wanting codes so you get priority.
You can use the mail one, for some of the same parks and places. The sun have more though.
The prices are the same.

I also don't understand what this code thing is, but I am eagerly awaiting the start of this offer again.
If someone could pm me and explain what this code is about then I would love to be added to the list.

Hi Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction regarding these holidays.
I've never done them before but we have been on many a Parkdean holiday so thought i would try and remember to collect tokens this time. I'm very pleased with myself and have remembered every day so now only have two more to collect until I have the magic 10!
So my question is, should I just send them off on Wednesday or should I wait to see if I'm lucky enough to get a code on here?
We're not really fussy when we go but we do want to do a Parkdean holiday so which is going to put me in a better position?
And how lucky do you have to be to get your first choice when you do send them away?

For those who missed out, Moneysaving Expert post the codes (Daily Mail and local paper offers) that are valid for Haven/Park Resorts via Breakfree Holidays.

There are breaks up at moment for all except summer holidays (£10 or £15 pp). The summer ones usually open in May. Just be ready to book!

For idea on prices, last year 4 nights in August, mon to friday, cost us £279 for a caravan at Combe Haven.
