My dd is desperate to go legoland - never been - considering an annual merlin pass but hope there is a cheaper way than just turning up and buying on the day. Don't have tesco vouchers so any good ideas please please please?? Thank you!

Why a Merlin pass? This is only worth it if you are going to all the theme parks a lot.

Why no just a day pass, you can upgrade at the park to an annual pass. I would suggest 365.com or travelling by train to get it cheaper.

The cheapest way of getting an annual pass to legoland, is to buy lego at the shop at Christmas time and you can often get one for free in March if you have spent enough.

I'd see if you like it first. The Merlin one is only really worth while if you live close to Chessington and Legoland. (Or are mad on theme parks and intended to drive around between Alton Towers and Thorpe Park a lot, or are going to visit all of the atractions in a year.)
I'd look at the other annual passes if you are thinking of one just for legoland www.legoland.co.uk/annual+Pass/annualpasshome/annualpasshome.htm should give more information.
For cheap initial tickets lastminute is another good place to look. You can upgrade if you think it is worth it on the day (using your entry ticket to get a discount).

Good luck and have fun
