Planning on moving near Yeovil, Somerset in the next 6 months or so, and looking for an independent prep school for our dd, who would be starting Reception in September 2027 (so would hope for her to join the Pre-School class in either the spring or summer term next year).
We haven’t yet visited any schools, but Perrott Hill, Sherborne Prep and potentially Hazlegrove stand out. I’m naturally drawn to Sherborne Prep as I went to SSG back in the day and love the town, but we very much like the sound of Perrott Hill, although a little concerned over it having such low (and possibly declining?) numbers. Hazlegrove looks great and we know a couple of parents there who love it, but it is very big and I wonder if our dd would be better suited to a smaller setting, where each child is very much seen as an individual and given the opportunity to thrive, whatever their strengths (and indeed, needs).
If anyone has any experience of/views on any of these three schools (particularly Perrott Hill), we’d be very grateful for any insight.
