Hi all,
We’re relocating to London from Solihull and our 9-year-old son has an entrance assessment for Shrewsbury House next week.
I’ve read a lot of positive things about the school, but I’d love to hear from parents with first-hand experience.
Our son is bright, sporty and currently in Year 4. Long term, we’d like to keep options open for academically selective senior schools such as St Paul’s, Westminster, City of London, Highgate, King’s Wimbledon and similar.
I’d be really grateful if anyone could share:
- How strong Shrewsbury House is academically?
- How well does it prepare boys for top London senior schools?
- Are families generally happy with the teaching and pastoral care?
- How sporty is the school?
- How does it compare with schools such as Wetherby Prep, Hereward House, Sussex House and The Hall?
- If your son attended Shrewsbury House, where did he go on to for senior school?
We’re very new to the London prep-school world, so any insights—good or bad—would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks.
