Hello,

Does anyone have any feedback on Kitebrook School? We are considering a move from London and it looks idyllic but would like to work out if it’s a happy and well thought of school where the kids have a non-pushy all round education? Wanting to get our kids out of the London 11+ rat race for a more wholesome life! We were thinking Bloxham or similar after would also be good if anyone has any thoughts on that too! Thanks!

We looked at Kitebrook for DD7. Liked it. I loved the outdoorsey element abd the setting is gorgeous. Our DD had a taster day (she was 6), and she got upset. They called me a a demanded I come and pick her up straight away. I was an hour away (work) and they were quite sniffy and said that wasn’t soon enough. Never heard from them again! Shame. We ended up at Beachborough.

i do know people who rate it highly though. Worth asking about staff turnover and what happened with the last headmaster…left under a cloud I believe.

Check the size and finances carefully, it’s tricky for small schools at the moment. I’m not hinting that it knows something specific (I don’t) but in the current climate it’s important.

I know a few children at Kitebrook - seems a very good, happy school, not too pushy and lots of opportunities, definitely not like the London rat race anyway. I can't imagine there are any financial concerns given its location and popularity with the Cotswold "set". It is full.
Bloxham seems to be up and coming as a more affordable option as private / public secondary schools go, many go there from Kitebrook. It is a good all rounder school.
