Child on waiting list for St Dunstans College after passing 11+...What are the chances?

My child has done exceptionally well to pass all stages of 11+ entry for St Dunstans College for 2026 entry and we were told he has a place on the waiting list - pending offer. Does anyone with previous knowledge know what the chances are of getting an offer from it?? They said every year theres quite abit of movement from it before the acceptance deadline on March 4th, so not impossible - but am anxious about it as its my childs first choice.

Hello,
I dont have experience with st dunstans but have just been through the 11+ process ourselves. We decided not to apply to st dunstans but seems like alot of the kids who do st dunstans also do eltham, trinity, colfes, dulwich and alleyns and so there should definitely be lots of movement from people who pick the other school over st D. I think you have a really good chance and dont need to be anxious just need to be prepared to accept as soon as the offer comes through.

@11mummy Thankyou, Im hoping so! It's the not knowing where your child is on the list that's hard. But a week to go to find out. This process has been a looooong and stressful one.
May I ask how your children did and if you got your school of choice?

We applied to 4 schools - Colfes, trinity, Eltham and Alleyns - and got offers from 3 and on waitlist for Alleyns which we applied to on a whim. We've refused 2 of the spots and are now weighing out Eltham and Alleyns.
Have you told St. D you will immediately accept if an offer is made?

@11mummy
oh wow, well done to you and your little one! What an achievement :)
Yes I have let them know it’s my child’s first choice and would accept if offered.

My DD applied to St D and was offered a place we have turned down. As someone else said a lot of people will also have applied to schools like Alleyns, Jags, Eltham, Colfes, Trinity etc and I’d suggest all of those get chosen over St D. So good news for you I’d say and it’s seems like a good school.

We’ve also just turned down St Dunstan’s, so hopefully that means you will hear from them very soon.
