St John’s Prep & Senior Private School in Enfield.

I would be grateful for any recent information or insights regarding St John’s Prep & Senior Private School in Enfield. We have recently relocated to the Watford area and are currently exploring secondary school options, as our eldest daughter will be starting secondary school this coming September, while our second daughter is currently in Year 1.
We have visited two state schools locally in Watford, but unfortunately neither felt like the right fit for our daughters. As a result, we are now giving serious consideration to St John’s and would very much appreciate hearing from parents or others who have direct experience of the school.
In addition, if anyone can recommend other good schools either state or independent within Hertfordshire, we would be very grateful for your suggestions.

My understanding is that they are both good schools

However, if you live in Watford - that would be a fair distance to travel to St Johns - especially for the younger one - have you considered that?

I assume you'd need to use the M25 daily at peak times, with not many alternatives?

Other good prep schools in the area - Radlett, Aldenham, few in Northwood - but that would be the other way
