Hi folks, a little niche perhaps but wondering if anyone has any experience with Brighton Girls? Specifically the pre-school and prep school. And any other independent schools within half an hour of Brighton. Thanks so much in advance! We’re looking for somewhere that isn’t too heavy on academia. Neither of us have normal jobs (creative/sport based) and so we really value the extra curricular stuff, the arts/sports and most importantly wellbeing and her having a nurturing environment. X

Not within your 30min radius but Mayfield Girls School is definitely worth a look. Academic but not heavily so, huge range of extra curricular to choose from and a supportive and nurturing environment. They've just opened a Wellbeing Centre. Big network of minibuses across East Sussex and Kent for day girls.

Should add it's senior school only (11-18), I wasn't sure what you were looking specifically,

St Andrew’s for prep school and Eastbourne College for senior. Lovely, supportive with incredible facilities and teachers. About 40 min from Brighton with a school bus that picks up and drops off.
