City Junior School - new head going well?

Hello, wonder if any current CJS parents can share their experience of the new head? We have heard many teachers are leaving and the atmosphere is not so good. I hope this is reckless gossip, as we were so keen on the school after our open day visit.

I’ve also heard that quite a lot of kids are trying to leave, but that CJS isn’t supportive of the move.

Why do you think they trying to leave @newuserid11 ? Did you hear it is something to do with the new Head or are there other factors?

It is a reasonably new school anyway, but I was only hearing glowing and positive things before this September.

Perhaps change is hard, not sure

Interesting, the new head was a deputy at Bute House - stellar background, I wonder what's behind pupil wanting to leave

He was promoted to a deputy head role at Bute only a few months before moving to the City. He’s lovely, but his senior leadership experience is limited.
