Looking for a school in Herefordshire

Recently had a look at Hereford Cathedral School and found out why all of the top management had left in pretty quick succession.
Was that a change in ethos or was it something more sinister?

My wife described HCS as being ‘cramped and chaotic’ as soon as she got away from the moat and into the higher school.

For me, I’m looking at a mix of education and the fact that my child will be happy and make friends!! My daughter P has a lot of energy, but do the kids treat each other well?

And if HCS is so great, then why did the top management leave?

We are also going to look at The Steiner School,
Malvern st James, Malvern, The Elms and Haberdashers, although Haberdashers seems a wee bit of a reach from Hereford!

I went to HCS years ago, left as soon as I could. It squeezed me for every drop of time and energy I had (music scholar) and I’ve never really recovered. I can’t quite get over how poor the safeguarding was; we were located in a few buildings in the middle of town, there were a fair few incidents where children were put in danger.

I recently went on the website; it seemed very tech-focused ethos-wise.

I work in a state comprehensive and send my kids there. It’s a far better set up.

Just checking what's around us as we've just moved and gone for The Downs and Malvern College. Really couldn't be happier with our choice and the kids are thriving.
