Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what Royal hospital school in Ipswich is like. I'm thinking of sending my daughter there next year as a full boarder. Thanks

I think it's good - has a good reputation but I was put off by the 6 days a week schooling.

I don't board but send my girls to Ipswich High School which is close by also - they have a small boarding facility there but not sure how good it is as I've never looked. Pictures look nice

Saturdays are now optional activities and games apparently but still very popular with day pupils I gather from a friend who has children in the lower school there. It's about 50% boarders I gather which is a nice balance as the weekends could be very quiet otherwise I guess.

Yes I think it is a good option for a busier all-week experience for sure - I think most of the suffolk/ipswich schools have boarding options too
