Schools in Godalming but living further out ..?

Looking at schools in Godalming, however, we are relocating also so will be from scratch for a new home… but some research suggests either such locations as Guildford, East Horsley or Cobham could work as well as Godalming itself. There does also appear to be more houses available in the three other towns too. We also have a preference for ease of access to a station and town/shops/cafes ideally by foot, and there seems to be less available in Godalming for station access houses in our criteria overall. Is it a bind from any of these locations to reach Godalming? It’s for senior school. Most schools do have some transport, but I am more concerned during times the school transport won’t work due to a club or needing to come back earlier, or other such reason and of course then a car pick up drop off is then needed.

sorry if this should be posted in property section / it sort of doubles under private schools I think so thought I would try here first?!
thanks!

Guildford possibly but others would be tricky to commute to Godalming from.

You could be looking at a 45 minute commute to Godalming from Cobham or East Horsley depending on traffic - that is quite a long way. Guildford is definitely a better option.
