Hi Mums, we’ve been offered places at both Woodford Green and Aubyns for pre prep and would love to hear from any existing parents about their experiences.
St Aubyns has far superior facilities but seemed to lack on the pastoral care and be a bit more ‘stuffy’ whereas WGP seemed to have a nice community vibe with a focus on wellbeing to support learning. Both seemed good academically. I don’t like the idea of ‘streaming’ though which they do in WGP but I’m not sure if they do that in st aubyns. I believe the outcomes are comparable - perhaps with Aubyns having slightly better results at 11+
they both have pros and cons I think I’m trying to gauge what’s best fit for my DS and us as a family - he will be the first in our family to go to an independent school.
