Hi, I have to make a decision very soon to either take my daughter to Jack and Jill’s pre prep school or to Rowan’s. We are keen on my DD being prepped for LEH and GHS. My son is currently at Hampton kindergarten and hence why we want to take her out of her current school.

any parents have any thought on Jack and Jill’s pre prep.

Jack & Jill pre prep does not prepare you for the 7+ because they simply do not want you to leave. They want you to stay on till 11+.
if you want her to stay on till 11+, then being a very academic school, I’m sure she will fly. The facilities are rubbish though but if academics is all you’re concerned with, then J&J is perfect.

My DD went to Jack & Jill a few years ago and now at LEH junior, it is the best pre prep/ school anyone could wish for. Great teachers, excellent ethos, from the headteacher to the mini bus drivers they all cared about the girls so much! Every parent in our cohort would say that. In our year just over 1/3 went to LEH, one went to Rowan (didn’t speak highly of it compare to Jack&Jill) and rest to Clarence House (who all seem to be very happy too). When the teaching was that excellent, you don’t need extra prep for 7+.

The best? With no facilities or play area?

Quite academic, good pastoral care, supportive teachers, pushes the top set adequately, 20%-30% ends up in LEH junior rest to Clarence House. Family run small school ethos with academic focus.
