D’Overbroeck’s or Wychwood?

Hello! My child who is now in Year 9 has received offers from both D’Overbroeck’s and Wychwood and we have a hard time deciding which one to choose. Does anyone have experiences with them?

My child has been doing quite well academically and has strong interests in creative arts and crafts, but kind and caring teachers are crucial for her to stay motivated.

For D’Overbroeck’s, they are strong academically and seem to be getting even stronger in the recent years. Does anyone know if they are still maintaining their laid back vibes which they are known for and whether it is still true that they are not an academic hot house? Are the teachers kind and caring in general?

For Wychwood, I really love their nurturing nature and their strength in creative subjects, but I wonder if the VAT will make an impact to them as they are a relatively small school? TIA!

Deffo d’Overbroecks the Leckford site is super supportive, excellent teachers lovely children. Boy heavy so check ratios for current year group. Easy transfer to Sixth Form.

Does Leckford have a high number of ND students, and does that affect the NT ones? I’m just asking because I’ve heard how good they are for SEND.
