Pre-prep for Withington Girls

Hi all,

We’d like to send DD to Withington Girls from age 7. Can anyone recommend the best pre-preps to send her too?

Ideally we’d love to find somewhere central so I can drop DD off on the way to work and wouldn’t need to send her in too early.

We looked at Ladybarn House which we are considering but it’s a 20 minute drive in the wrong direction which would mean a 40 minute round car journey before I get back home and set off on my commute via the tram.

I’ve also looked at Moor Allerton but got the impression it isn’t very academic.

There are a lot of parents from Withington Girls sending their younger child to Lady Barn. LB is very flexible, as in you can drop off quite early and they have after school care too if you're running late/stuck in traffic.

Lady Barn House is an amazing school.
I'm hoping my daughter will go to Withington at 11 but there's no way I'd consider moving her now. My son is also there.
We live on Didsbury and both work full time. It works out fine.
