It’s a good school, nurturing but not super academic if that is what you are looking for. The head has been involved with the school for years and after a merry go round of heads she finally got the job and honestly is fiercely passionate about the school (her kids went there and one of them ended up a teacher there too). SEN support is good but you need to be vocal about what is needed. Very diverse range of families who are a mixture of all types from creatives to high flying city types. Although the catchment is large it has a community feel. If you want your child to end up at City or Westminster or some other super academic secondary it’s probably not the place though.

I do not have a good experience. My child had some SEN requirements. My child was always well behaved but due to hormones my child started to misbehave a bit. My child was not violent though and just needed some behavioural therapy, most of the behaviour would be deemed benign. There was little support from the senco due to top down culture from Ms Korbay, the headmistress. The school overall is not neurodiverse. When my child misbehaved slightly then they would call you insistently to exclude the child from the school. They did that to other children and parents with SEN as well, one parent lost her job because of this tactic by the school. They then look to exclude your child as much as possible from school trips etc. There mission statement about being diverse is a lie. I would say it was a waste of money and they should be upfront that they don't care about meeting SEN requirments. Other parents are aware of this poor attitude as well and one of my colleagues would rather send their SEN child to the Montessori school in canary wharf. To Ms Korbay, good luck with the VAT increases.
