My ds is just finishing reception year and has enjoyed learning to read. I got the book people catalogue yesterday and wondered whether to get the Ms Wiz books by Terence Blacker. Has anyone else had them? What sort of level are they? Or can you recommend other books? He confidently reads book band 6 at school.

I'd visit the public library to see what they have first; ours (small rural town) has a half-decent selection of early readers, and it saves me a fortune!

I agree with Puzzle they will also have a summer reading scheme with stickers and posters which is fun.

I agree with going to the library. That way he can choose the books he likes the look of.
