recycling dressing up for fun day

Any ideas for a fun day where they are supposed to dress up with recycling as a theme. cutting holes in bin bags is as faras I have got!

they could just go completely dressed in green

or string the contents of your recycling box all over them

plastic bottles or loo rolls would be quite effective

Any clothing you were about to throw out, surely? Sheets? Milk bottle tops for jewellery? Hat made of ceral packet?

Some people make bags etc from cut up strips of carrier bags, maybe you could make something in that style?

You could put a sign on the front saying "I used to be a...." like those pencils that used to be milk cartons and mouse mats that used to be car tyres.

Boy will be wearing his waste coat. It s knitted from bread bags! took a while to make, but its staying in the dressing up box now.

If you want something he can make, then how about a hat from recycled card with other things you recycle attached .

IF you have them, milk bottle tops (plastic ones) can be joined with string or wire to make quite funky items. You need lots for a jacket tho. A belt may be more achieveable.
