Private School Recommendations - Twickenham/Richmond

We are thinking about going private for our son in Twickenham/Richmond area partly because of the difficulty of getting a reception place.

Does anyone have any recommendations for schools and what are the likely class sizes? How far in advance do you need to put your name down?

I know a couple of people who put their children in Twickenham Prep which is actually in Hampton but easy to get to from Twickenham area. They are really pleased with the school and I know one of them got a place fairly late on as they were not happy with the primary school they were allocated. Not sure about class sizes but guessing small!

Newland House excellent- also Mall School.

Dss went to mall - his name was down at 2 (think similar waiting list now). Dunno about waiting list for others but Twickenham prep didn't seem to hae a slog a wait as friend moved her kids there(and is very happy- very small classes ).

Kids next door at newlands house and neighbours very happy with it for both boy/girl.

Not sure about class sizes but would imagine not more than 20 ish.

Are you worried about being in one of overflow classes. As primary schools aren't bad in Twickenham generally?
