Which School to choose?

I have a wonderful dilemma. We have a place at one school which is good, but DD1 wanted to go the a different equally good school. This one would be more convenient for me in terms of travelling to work etc. However as the schools are all oversubscribed I have been preparing her to go to the school where she has her place. Only we have been successful in our appeal and have a place at the other school. The issue is that she has now got used to the idea of going to the other school She can be very sensitve, and I am unsure what to do. If she goes to the school where she originally had a place allocated, she will attend the junior school in the next street at 7. However her little sister will be going to the other school. This one has a 15 minute walk. We have a after school club sorted out, but this is not very convenient to get to, but she is really excited about going. I am not sure what to do now.

Oh dear! I would just sit down with yr. DD1 and explain it all carefully to her and give her the choice. Maybe do this over time so she can fully grasp the situation.

Unfortunately we have 5 days to decide!!! Thank you ppeatfruit. I know that there are lots of people who would like to be in this situation right now, I do feel pretty guilty since I know of one child who has a place in a school miles away from where she lives, and is number 50 on the waiting list for the one she wants to get into.
