DS1 is starting Moyenne Section at the French Lycée, école maternelle in South Kensington. We don't know anyone there. He is currently in Petite Section in a French school in Germany and we are keen for him to carry on in the French system, at least for now.
I would really like to hear your thoughts and experiences about the maternelle and primary school. Are the teachers friendly and welcoming? Are there opportunities to talk to them about concerns? Do the little ones cope ok with being in such a big place? Is there any induction process? How do people manage with what seem to be extra long and frequent holidays - is there a holiday club? Has anyone taken a young child out of here and into the English system?
