induction day at primary school...

what happens at them? ds1's is this afternoon. how long should it last? do i stay?

It's just an opportunity for your son to get to see where he will be going in September and to meet the staff and other children. Our induction sessions usually last a full morning/afternoon session. Normally we have a few with parents staying for the first session.

I should have mentioned that!

parents worry about their child starting school but quite often they don't want to leave all the new things at the end of the day and there are often far more tears at the home time that at the beginning of the day.
