Eltham school dilemma...Gordon or Greenacres?

Does anyone know much about Primary Schools in the Eltham SE9 area. I have to choose between Gordon Primary school and Greenacres primary school. Both have been rated 2, Good by ofsted. Any feedback on either schools would be appreciated, thank you xx

Gordon used to be fantastic and has slipped a bit in recent years. Good to hear that Greenacres is doing OK. I would try to find out what Gordon plans to do to regain its "outstanding" ranking, in your position. But go and see them because almost certainly your gut feeling about which is the right one for your dc, will be worth going with.

My DC is starting at Deansfield in September and I'm DELIGHTED she got in there. We live very near the Gordon and I assumed we'd put that as first choice but when we looked round I was so incredibly disappointed we put it as third choice.

Deansfield wasn't even on my original list to look round but blew me away when we went for a tour. They've got a relatively new headmaster who's amazing and their recent Ofsted is excellent. I'd definitely add it to your list of places to look at.

Gordon any day of the week, Both my children have been to the gordon and I have had fantastic experience's at the school.
My husband has worked in all the local schools and cant believe how lucky we are.
My son is now at senior school and is in the top class (that happens to be filled with Gordon kids) at least 11 ! My daughter still attend's Gordon and is very happy and doing very well.

I went to greenacres when I was little!!! i can only sing there praises but then again that was 17 years ago!
