Can someone please explain SATS and the results to me or recommend somewhere to find the information?

DD has just taken her Y2 SATS. I think she took an extra paper (all about The Netherlands and a Windmill Cat) but I don't really know what this means. Will I get results? What do they mean? Yadda yadda yadda - thank you

You can ask the school for the results. They are not published. You should get teacher assessment results as part of the end of year report on your child, these will be based on your daughter's performance throughout the year - including the test.
The school may include the test results too, if not you do have the right to ask for them.
There are reading, writing, and maths tests.
They were changed in 2004 to be less stressful, so teachers can choose which papers to administer and when.
Hope this helps.

The paper is the level 3 reading test, mesaning she is probably working at above the expected average for a year 2 child and is probably going to get a level 3. Well done your DD.

You will get the teacher assessments when the reports are published later in the term.
