Interview for primary teaching course - what will they ask?

I have a telephone interview for a graduate primary teaching course!

Any ideas what they might ask?

Got to the TES forums for more information. I am very surprised they are not doing a face to face interview.

Hi for my recent PGCE interview they asked me

  • when I was last in a primary school
  • my favourite teacher in school and why
  • what new developments were there in the curriculum
  • how would I tackle poor behaviour
  • differences between when I was at school and now
  • why primary and not secondary

  • your experience
  • why you want to be a teacher
  • possibly a question on current educational issues ( swot up on the tes website)
  • they may give you a situation and ask you how you would deal with it
