Does it matter if a Y2 child misses SATs?

DS isn't well this week and they are doing some of their KS1 SATS - does it matter if he misses them? If it's only to check the teacher assesment then it doesn't really matter if he doesn't do it, right? Or I wonder if they would give him the test separately at a later date (as they can be done any time)?

The teacher should be able to carry out the KS1 tests at a convenient time when your child is back in school.

That's great, thanks!
