Hi - we are moving from London to Canterbury over the summer and wondered if anyone had anything good/bad to say about the primary schools in Canterbury. We have two children 9 and 4 and are looking for a good school nearish Uni of Kent. Would be very grateful for any recommendations.
Thanks,
Patricia

St Stephen's is near the University. I don't live in Canterbury, but have friends who do and I think its reputation is quite good at the moment (opinions do primary schools do change from year to year...). I think Blean is supposed to be quite good, too? (Or certainly was a year or two ago).

Hi
We live not far from Canterbury, and have friends with children at Bridge School,Blean School,Boughton School, St Peters School and The Canterbury Primary School all seem happy with where they are. Most of the primary schools have a good reputation, it gets more difficult at secondary level.

Blean School and St Peters have the best reputation, I think. They certainly have (again I think) very high 11 plus pass rates, if that's something that you can judge a school by.

Blean is probably nearest for UKC.

The C'bury Primary School? Never heard of that one! Is it a re-name?

Blean is quite pressured academically imo

St Petes a bit less so

Wouldn't go near St Stephens

Hi ConDemNation - What is the issue with St Stephens? Also, the other schools - ie Kingsmead?

Blean was totally full last time we looked
