Any thoughts on which one to choose for an energetic, busy, stubborn 4 year old due to start school in September?

Boy or girl? No personal experience of either but mum of boy at HH once told me that she was regularly called into headteacher because her son was running around playing superheros generally just being a normal boy. I think they like nice girls who like practicing handwriting. As I say no personal experience tho. If boy; have you thought about dcps?

Boy! Have thought about DCPS but have reservations about single sex education from 5. Do you have experience?

Does irritate me though that the coed schools sometimes act as though they think all the kids should be girl-like - have that with our older one.

We are planning to send our son to Ducks - have you made up your mind yet? I am a little unsure now as I came across a parent's review that the staff are not very helpful and are not really concerned about catering to individual childrens' needs.

My son is at DCPS (nursery and now reception), I'm happy with it and feel free to send me a message if you want to discuss. But presumably you've already had to go through the interview / offer process for a September place? Do you have offers from both HH and DUCKS? I've heard similar to cnaik re HH, although anecdotally it has become more boy-focussed in the last couple of years.

So so true of HH school didn't like it one bit!

And I was going to apply for my daughter! They are just a hot house for JAPS, it's tiny and very structured! There is no comparison to DUCKS up to 7 locally in my view, so much space and such a happy vibe with brilliant teaching!
