DS needs help for school magazine

DS who is 8 has been chosen to do something for the school magazine. It has to be something fun, like a quiz or spot the difference for example.

My mind has drawn a blank as to what he can do!

He is very good at drawing, so spot the difference seems like a good one. But I think I am making it too complicated - ie, he would draw the picture, i would then photocopy it in work, take it home, he would then alter the original, then I would take that back to work to photocopy so they both look the same.

Any ideas on a easier way, or something else entirely?

Thanks

Wordsearch is easy to do

or a quiz on a theme - World Cup maybe?

Or could he draw a little cartoon strip featuring a teacher perhaps?

My son did a bird silhouette quiz, i.e. he drew some outlines of some common birds e.g. Robin, Blackbird, Wren and filled them in black. He then made a mixed up list of the birds names and another list of one fact per bird in order that people could match the correct picture name and fact.

Could be done with common tree, leaves, wildlife etc. or whatever the theme for the magazine is.

How about a quiz about your neighbourhood?

eg: When was the Town Hall built; What does "suchandsuch" a name mean; Who is the landlord of X pub etc
