Teacher/pupul ratio in Yr1, Yr2 etc

Following on from the thread about class sizes I was wondering what the norm was in schools for teacher/pupil ratios in the classes beyond reception?

Well the rule is 30 to one teacher.

In practice a lot of schools also have a TA as well (not our school, sadly - we can't afford it).

Beyond infants ie yr 3 upwards there is no upper limit, tho IME schools don't have classes of 40+!

My DC at junior level have been in classes of 30-34.
