Hi,

Does anyone have any information on how to get a comprehensive list of schools offering the 8+ exams?

Plenty of info around regarding 7+ exams but not so with the 8+. Any information gratefully received.

you could try Gabbitas

I'm not sure that you'll get a comprehensive list easily - it will be down to each school and each year group as to whether they bother with an 8+ or not. If they had plenty of good candidates at 7+ then they may not bother, if they have vacancies then you may just need an assessment.

8+ isn't a standard entry point around our area . Year 4 entry usually spend a day with their peer group and may sit some literacy and numeracy assessments to benchmark if they'd fit in academically. It often comes down it whether there is a likely space or not.

I think you'd be best to contact individual schools in your area. I know some of the local schools that offer 8+, but it's not a main entry point for most of them.

Thanks to all for the feedback. I think this one requires a lot of investigation. This is what happens when you miss out on the 7+...
