So dd starts school this year (got her place today!) and now starts the hunt for the school uniform! Official school uniform order to be in my 3oth April!!
What do I need really? How many of everything?

Thought we could use this thread as a place to post good buys/poor quality items to beware of/bargains/essential items etc

Thank you!!

We have 7 of everything

Enough to last the week (I work full time and am a single mum so dont always get stuff washed during the week) plus a set in his bag for wetting accidents plus a complete set for 'oh crap its 7pm Monday night and we have no school uniform clean'

Sounds a lot I am aware, but very little makes it tot he next day and the bulk of it cost 50p an item from the second hand box

Thanks for all advice.

I have ordered 4 school sweatshirts (2 that fit dd now) and 2 bigger ones for next year (for dd to grow in to).

Also a school fleece coat and a school badge (to sew onto blazer which I still have to buy!)

So about £60 gone already!

Still need most of the uniform but will buy in high street and shop wisely.
Checked summer dresses in Asda at moment for about £3...

School shoes! Budgeting fot them already....

And then all the little things - school bag, lunch box, pencil case and bits and pieces etc.

Loving it all though!
