my friend was taking her son to school last Friday and there was a child being escorted reluctantly by mum in front. Said child (5/6 years old) did not want to go in and so mum said (direct quote so excuse language!!)

'get the f u c k in that classroom you little c u n t'

Both teacher and TA witnessed as well as several parents and other students. School response was a generic letter sent home 3 days later to ask parents not to swear in school. Parent was not spoken to directly about it.

I am appalled frankly!! I wold be looking to speak to head and maybe OFTSED - talk about child protection or lack there of!

How horrible. I've heard similar such delights at our school, sadly. Very infrequently, though. Perhaps the teacher was afraid of inflaming the situation by speaking directly to the mother at the time, particularly if there were lots of other children and parents around.

My reply is the same as it was on BGH

There could have been a far bigger response behind the scenes. The mother doesn't sound particularly approachable - what would she have said to the teacher if she'd pulled her up on it at the time?? I dread to think!!
