Teachers can someone explain in more about MIST test?

I have limitied knowladge and want to know:
1.what the test tests for?
2.what format do they take?
3.How long do they take?

I assume you mean the Middle Infant Screening Test
It is usually used to diagnose early literacy difficulties and is used with Forward together programme for around 10 weeks.

I haven't used it but have seen it used

It involves an hour test of a group of up to 8 children and covers
Listening skills
Letter sounds knowledge
Written vocabulary
Three-phoneme words
Sentence dictation

Sorry I can't be more helpful I sat in when a Learning support advisor tested a group prior to a wave 3 support being offered.
