Hi
My ds(4) is currently reading ?New Way?, ?Read & write Inc.? and ?Usborne Phonic readers? at school. At home we have read some ?Red Nose Readers? and various books from the library.

Is there a document which equates the different levels of each reading scheme and standard books? Or do I have to flick through to roughly gauge his level and a bit more stretching?

thanks

I'd go with flicking through, personally.

If a library book is a bit easier than school books, then your DS might enjoy feeling more capable and finding reading easier. If the library book is harder than you realised, then you can read it together and just enjoy the story and pictures. Either way, it makes for some nice variety.
