Ladies,

Would love to go pivate but the planner in me needs a backup plan incase hubby insists we cant afford it. I have 2 DS. school entry will be 2011 and 2012 so planning ahead. Live near caterhatch school (cant stand it though :-(.

Are there any faith schools in Enfield you would recommend ?

There is st georges (RC), St Michaels (CofE), St Andrew's (CofE) but to be honest if you live near cartherhatch school I don't think you'd stand much hope of getting into any of these as you wouldn't be near enough to them. There is also St Mary's (RC) ponder's end but again I doubt if you would live near enough.

Also, all the faith schools in enfield are very very strict about mass attendance, being baptised into that particular faith etc.

the jewish schools have changed their rules, currently need only around 6 synagogue attendances over a year following JFS's lost case in the supreme court.

wolfson hillel is in southgate (2 form entry) and is excellent. however they might change their criteria again... also i think they have a nursery so might be too late for 2011. might be worth calling to clarify?

thanks ladies.
my choices are for CofE really
1 - st andrews cofE
2 - st james CofE
3 - forty hill CofE
4 - George Spicer

Good point about St Andrews so I might just cross it out.

Wasn't sure we would get into non CofE since we are church goers and I teach sunday school. Actually, we go to a penticostal church though not CofE. So I better go find out if that counts
