Not allocated first choice primary school

Oh dear, been allocated second choice not first choice school, any advice on what to do now, appeal on what grounds "I just would like EB to go to that school" dont think that will cut it Help!!

Presumably you put the second sch down because you didn't mind too much? Is it really that bad? You could go in the waiting list for first choice school , in our school there has been quite a few moving on so you might get in in yr 1 for example

As compo said really... you've got your second choice, be pleased that you were allocated a place at one of your choices and ask to be added to the waiting list of your first choice just in case a place comes up. Then spare a thought for the parents whose children were allocated a school that wasn't one of their preferences....

go on waiting list, find out where abouts you are on the waiting list and wait it out. ime waiting lists do shuffle about, dd got in after being 9th on the list.
