Teachers advice on times tables game please

My times tables game focuses on learning/reinforcing just what i perceive as the most tricky facts
3X3 4X3 6X3 7X3 8X3
4X4 6X4 7X4 8X4
6X6 6X7 6X8
7X7 7X8
8X8

(and the same facts but teh other way round are covered in such a way as to show they give the same answer.)
I have deliberately left out 9X which I think is best done on the fingers, and 2X 5X and 10 X (I though most kids wouldn't have too much trouble these)
But I was wondering whether as a teacher you would expect a resource to cover an entire table .

What about patterns that can be seen in the overall picture?
This seems to focus more on memorisation than thinking skills.
(Am not a teacher, but have tried a lot of approaches in helping my DCs learn maths over the years)

that's why I haven't done the 2s 5s 9s and 10s where there ARE clear patterns.I thought times tables WAS about memorising facts !
