I am wondering if anyone has any experience of the Pyrford Primary and Oakfield Independent School in Pyrford. I am torn and can see pros and cons of each....

Any first hand experience would be so much appreciated!!!

Many thanks.

Have you visited them both?

Surely the main thing is one you pay for and the other you don't!

Have visited both, yes. Private seems good, small class, very caring but concerned about posh pushy parents and also the fact that have to pay, of course (though can do it for the benefit of my child). State has good reviews generally but bigger class of 30, some communication issues with parents and many aspects are rated good in Ofsted but not outstanding...

Just looking for parents who have kids there so can tell me what they feel?

Many thanks

My children go to another local school and I am very happy with it. Rather not say on here but you can contact me if you like.

Why are you looking only at those two schools specifically? If you can afford private, there are a number of other very good private schools in the area and also a number of good state schools.

Hi annh, I have visited lots of local schools and preferred Pyrford and Ripley (as realistic choices where we could get in livig in Byfleet. Turns out we did not get into either, so Oakfield it may have to be... What other private schools do you recommend over Oakfield? I have visited quite a few...What are your reservations about Oakfield?
